I have joined Patreon inspired by the great artist, Leonardo Da Vinci, after studying his remarkable life, I was struck by his great curiosity and how he lived on patronages from kings and rulers, those with the finical means of his day. Leonardo's final patron, King Francis I of France allowed Leonardo to just be Leonardo and do as he pleased with his art and to allow his curiosity to flourish.
I too have a great sense of curiosity as I have been passionately photographing Western Canadian landscapes, mostly British Columbia for the past 30 years with my view camera. My work takes a lot of time, financial expenses for travel, film, and dedication of the heart. I think that's what makes all artists great, a sense of curiosity of the world around us which at times need nourishment from outside sources.
As I approach my 60's I am looking for new ways to help with my costs and related expenses to allow me to continue with my work.
